His dynamic music is both accessible and unpredictable with hard hitting drums and crisp synths at the forefront of his productions. With an impressive resume of DMC and other competition wins under his belt Zeke incorporates a mastery of true turntablism into an arena where the once fundamental Technics 1200 has become foriegn technology to most DJ’s. hERON is the long-distance, Seattle to San Antonio collaboration between Progeny of Chisme/Ghost Palace (MPC, guitar, records) and Rob Castro of Grayskul/Chisme/Ghost Palace (bass). Instrumental trip-hop infused with a gloomy dreamlike melancholy, hERON’s cinematic, sad bangers draw as much from psych rock, 70’s pop and Twin Peaks as they do from Seattle’s chief exports of hiphop and grunge. hERON’s self-titled 12-song debut release is available on tape, wax, and digital.
Written, produced and performed by ELYAZ, his brand-new single, “Break the Distance,” has a pop/country music feel infused with electronic instrumentation. Upbeat and bold, it gallops beyond borders and bursts through boundaries. With the exception of maybe Las Vegas, there is no better place in America to cut loose and really party than New Orleans, and it’s definitly a better place to soak up some culture. Everyone knows there’s 24 hour drinking in the Big Easy, but what about those of us who prefer the herb? The rules are always changing, but last we checked there are still some hills to climb before its totally legal to smoke weed in New Orleans, and there’s a few things you should know before you smoke in NOLA.
Sometimes you can’t smoke weed. It sucks, but it happens to the best of us. Whether it’s probation, a new job, or just a weekend at the in-laws, sometimes we all have to take a few days off from smoking. For some people this is a small feat, but for others, it’s a real challenge, and there have been many reports of cannabis withdrawal. While the symptoms can vary greatly from person to person depending on a number of variables including how much your normally smoke, as well as your intake of other substances including alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine, most regular smokers experience some sort of withdrawal symptoms.
