The footage, taken in Vietnam, shows an unidentified female tourist sitting at the side of a road with a small group of men who had invited her to smoke ‘thuoc lao’, which is Vietnamese for ‘wild tobacco’. It has such a high concentration of nicotine in the leaves, which are gathered from a local rainforest, that it is even used to make pesticide.
A video posted on Instagram has us scratching our heads and asking, “Did Lil Duval smoke a blunt in a self-driving car?” Since the stand-up comedian published the video, it’s been making the rounds and causing a stir. But is all the hype really necessary? Or are we making a big deal out of nothing?
On the heels of her 2017 debut album, I, which received widespread critical acclaim, R&B singer Niia continues to release new music and collaborations with the likes of Goldlink, Gallant, and many more popular artists. She’s currently on a national tour with electro/jazz singer Charlotte Cardin, and we were lucky enough to catch an intimate performance at Denver’s Globe Hall.
A livestreamer named Scuffed Justin Carrey films multiple guys getting knocked out by a skateboard in a fight on Hollywood Boulevard. If someone asked me what the “wrong neighbourhood” is, Hollywood would probably be my last guess. People online are calling it a criminal cesspool though. So there ya go, you live and you learn.
TDE’s songstress SZA goes head to head with Kung Fu Kenny in her dope new video for “Doves In The Wind,” a cut from her 2017 album CTRL featuring Kendrick. The action packed video is an interesting juxtaposition against the laid back vibe of the track, but it works. Chec out the video below to see who wins the rumble.
Producer duo Wierd Clvn has emerged with a debut single “Bad Hook.” This hardcore dubstep banger is highly energized with a frantic, futuristic sample at its core and some super heavy drops and synths and banging drums. As indicated by the cover art, this track might melt your face off, especially if you’re on a lot of drugs. With consistent themes throughout, there’s still enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Be ready for some pretty intense glitch influence as well some reggae sounds sprinkled in, keeping the track grounded in classic dubstep roots. We’re interested to see what’s next from Wierd Clvn, but for now enjoy “Bad Hook.”

This year’s 420 in Denver may have been the livest yet. Big name national talent could be found at every venue in the city, and we were lucky enough to host the inaugural 420 On The Block, a musical celebration of our favorite plant featuring an awesome spectrum of local and national acts from all genres including headliners Action Bronson, Break Science (Live Band,) and Matisyahu. The weather was far from perfect, but a little cold and a few clouds has never stopped the party in Colorado, especially not on the high holiday! Enthusiastic fans enjoyed the well curated vendor booths, food trucks and activities, and of course the music.

The project stems from the creative process he has been in while working on his debut album Stealth Fighter, a frequency that Mike says he’s appreciative to be operating at.

After 100 years of British rule, Hong Kong, gateway between the East and West, has become a special administrative region of China. The city’s residents are now subject to many of the laws of mainland China, including the country’s extreme prohibition on marijuana. These laws are no laughing matter — simple possession of the plant can land you in jail for seven years and cost you over $100k in fines. But in spite of these restrictions, some young Hong Kong natives are willing to brave the risks to get lifted.
