Marijuana Stocks Are on The Rise

More and more US States are getting on board with medical and recreational cannabis. The recent vote in Oklahoma to legalize medical marijuana made it the 30th state in the U.S. to do so, with more and more states expected to follow suit in the next few years. Not to mention, our neighbors up north in Canada recently decriminalized the plant on a federal level, with sales expected to commence in October 2018. With the stigma against cannabis at an all time low, and new businesses booming around the continent, investment in legal cannabis markets is soaring, as are the stock prices. According to Investopedia, “Global spending on legal cannabis is expected to grow 230% to $32 billion in 2020 as compared to $9.5 in 2017, according to Arcview Market Research and BDS Analytics.” This is exciting news for investors in the U.S.A. and Canada alike. With continued regulatory uncertainty in the United States however, many companies are choosing to list in the Canadian market instead.

Tim Bell – In My Head

Rising producer Tim Bell presents his newest single “In My Head,” a release that can only be described as ‘a perfect example of fine future house’. Tim’s latest endeavor, out on Glamorama Records, is an effervescent and dynamic track lead by a throbbing bass line that will have everybody dancing while grinning ear to ear. The track is ever changing, with addictive rhythms at its core, and powerful piano chords backing soulful vocal samples that build up to liberating drops, this is sure to be an anthem in clubs, cars, and dance parties all summer! SZA – Doves In The Wind Ft. Kendrick Lamar (Official Video)

TDE’s songstress SZA goes head to head with Kung Fu Kenny in her dope new video for “Doves In The Wind,” a cut from her 2017 album CTRL featuring Kendrick. The action packed video is an interesting juxtaposition against the laid back vibe of the track, but it works. Chec out the video below to see who wins the rumble.

Wierd Clvn – Bad Hook

Producer duo Wierd Clvn has emerged with a debut single “Bad Hook.” This hardcore dubstep banger is highly energized with a frantic, futuristic sample at its core and some super heavy drops and synths and banging drums. As indicated by the cover art, this track might melt your face off, especially if you’re on a lot of drugs. With consistent themes throughout, there’s still enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Be ready for some pretty intense glitch influence as well some reggae sounds sprinkled in, keeping the track grounded in classic dubstep roots. We’re interested to see what’s next from Wierd Clvn, but for now enjoy “Bad Hook.”

The duo known as H09909 (pronounced Horror) have been making waves for a while now with their unique brand of politically conscious, hardcore, punk-infused rap. Known for their theatrical, and aggressive performances, they’ve hit the road with acts like Show Me The Body, Faith No More, Ministry, and others. They are currently on tour with industrial band 3Teeth in support of their debut LP United States of Horror. We caught the Denver stop at the Marquis Theatre where they threw down a highly energized performance that had fans in an all out frenzy. Our friend Tylar Washington-Beechum captured the mayhem, check out the photos below.
