Jantsen & Mersiv – Get Crazy (Single)

Producers Jantsen and Mersiv have linked up for a new track, “Get Crazy,” an energetic slapper released on Liquid Stranger’s powerhouse record label WAKAAN. Drawing influence from a variety of genres as well each producers unique style, “Get Crazy” is a wild ride with twisted synths, trapped out drums, and heavy dubbed out drops that might just break your neck. With a slightly spooky and futuristic vibe this psychedelic banger is everything you’d hope for from this highly anticipated collaboration. Ejnoy!

BAAUER – AETHER (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

New York City’s famed producer/DJ Baauer has recently resurfaced in anticipation of his timely and aptly titled new album, Planet’s Mad. He’s released the first single, AETHER, along with an out of this world visual accompaniment. As unpredictable as ever, Baauer has once again evolved his sound on this highly energetic banger that fuses elements of trap, dubstep, and other bass music into a spaced out tune thats unlike anything else we’ve heard from the Harlem Shake producer. The digitally animated video is an interplanetary journey that features humans and array of alien characters escaping destruction and finding their way to the ultimate space refugee rager, DJ’d by none other than Baauer himself. This one definitely has us excited for the full album, and hopefully a national tour, whenevter our own planet reopens.

AoDbabyface – Rooftop (Single)

Up and coming rapper AoDbabyface continues to gain traction with “Rooftop,” his biggest song to date, which has garnered critical acclaim and tens of thousands of streams. The ambient track features lo-fi filtered samples that create the somber mood for the lyrics. AO gets introspective as he examines his darker emotions from the lonely birds eye view of a rooftop jumper. The dark subject matter of the song is both honest and vulnerable, so it’s no surprise people are relating to it in 2020. Be on the look out for more from Kansas City, MO’s own Aodababyface.

Hannibal Buress – Judge Judy Ft. Chrome Sparks & Ron Lamont

Earlier this year in our interview with Hannibal Buress, the comedian mentioned he had some music more projects in the works. He’s finally surfaced with his third release, “Judge Judy,” featuring Ron Lamont. The track features an absolutely scorching hot beat from acclaimed producer Chrome Sparks, and while it’s obvious Hannibal isn’t taking himself too seriously, he low key kind of kills it with some auto-tuned melodies making for a highly listenable song.

Los Rell – Spell On Me (Single)

Detroit’s EDM producer and singer Los Rell is back with a seductive new single, “Spell on Me.” Los walks a fine line between dance music, pop, and modern R&B on this enchanted record that features hypnotizing rhythms and bouncy instrumentation topped by Los’s smooth autotuned vocals. This track has all the fix ins for a fun cruise around the city, or late night at the club. Check it out and look out for more from Los Rell coming soon!

ShoTunez – The Pif Trap (LP)

Multitalented rapper, producer, and prolific weed smoker ShoTunez returns with another full length LP, “The Pif Trap.” The 10 track LP is another ode to our favorite plant. As Sho states on the opening banger “UPPP,” he’s “never coming down.” With hard hitting drums and heavy bass, this EDM/hip hop fusion album is built to be played in a proper sound system. Too bad festival season is cancelled this year, regardless, the Boston MC has a summer heater on his hands. With only a few features, ShoTunez displays his diverse talents throughout the album. Megan Hamilton – G.R.E.A.M. Ft. Will Robinson

Electronic producer Megan Hamilton has joined lyrical forces with rapper Will Robinson on this year’s 420 electronic anthem, “G.R.E.A.M.” A play on WuTang’s classic, Green Rules Everything Around Me is a mantra for the weed smokers, the veggie eaters and enthusiasts of that color we like to call “green.” The track was released on the highest of holidays, 4/20, and it’s making the rounds now. Check it out!

Noway – P.O.P. MUZIK” EP

Tennessee hip hop artist Noway has been making music for years under a previous moniker, and last year he reemerged with a newly honed sound and debut album, 13. The Chattanooga rapper is back with nine more original tracks on his new EP, P.O.P. Muzik. An acronym for “Prosperity Over Pain,” The EP showcases a multitude of styles flawlessly pieced together as Noway tackles an array of real topics.

30.2 Much – Antigua (Single)

Multinational artist Kareem John, better known as 30.2Much has resurfaced with a hot new single, “Antigua,” a hypnotizing record about that gets its namesake from a single line on the track referencing the gorgeous island he once called home. 30.2Much paints an image of his lifestyle and background with sharp lyrics on the verses followed by smooth vocals on the hook to keep things interesting. Blending subtle influence from the islands mixed with modern trap sounds, “Antigua” packs plenty of heat just in time for summer. J.Drive – Quarintine Vibes

Rising rapper J.Drive hailing form Youngstown, Ohio, is back with another new single, “Quarantine Vibes.” With a pitched up sample at the foundation of scorching hot beat courtesy of producer Dillygotitbumpin, J.Drive lays a confident, stream-of-conscious, type flow with clever bars and authentic content. J.Drive is sticking to his guns and living life his way, without regrets, and he’s letting everyone know. N2BLU – Kiss Me Like The Devil

International alternative pop duo N2BLU return with another new single, “Kiss Me Like The Devil.” Drawing from past romantic experiences Singer/Songwriter Jonathan Arceneaux croons over a stimulating, retro feeling sonic landscape from producer Konstantin Smorodnikov. With impressive chemistry the two create a unique vibe you won’t find anywhere else. Way before Drake shouted out Griselda Records in his now infamous Rap Radar interview, the Buffalo NY collective of Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher has been putting in work and garnering the respect of fans, critics, and artists alike. With a carefully curated aesthetic of super grimey beats, high fashion, raw content, and razor sharp bars, the crew has quickly gone from a boutique underground rap phenomenon to one of the most talked about movements in hip hop, hailed by many as the antithesis of the mumble rap sound that’s dominated the airwaves for the last several years. Now backed by Shady Records, and Roc Nation, Griselda is on their first major headlining national tour, and we were lucky enough to catch their performance at Summit Denver this week, where they performed slew of records from their various solo projects and crew compilations. When we first saw that Roc Nations’s Rapsody and Rhymesayers Entertainment’s much talked about signee Sa-Roc were going on a US run together for Rap’s A Black Woman Created This tour, we were hype. Both artists have earned critical acclaim and respect from fans and piers alike, and it’s dope to see them join forces. We caught the Portland stop of the northwest leg of the tour at the charming Star Theater in the heart of the city.
