Boulder-based, sax playing, dance music producer SoDown has been making big waves over the last year playing festivals like Coachella, Electric Forest, Big Dub, Sonic Bloom, and more. He’s gearing up to release an EP mid October, and then sets off on two major tours supporting OPIUO and The Floozies, but before hitting the road he’s showing some love to the hometown with an intimate headlining performance at the legendary Fox Theatre on October 6th with support from Megan Hamilton and Oklio.

While his skill set may be rooted in past tradition, his music and sound is still far ahead of its time.
International DJ and producer DJ Mizzy presents “Prost,” a brand new single that blends multiple genres and influences into one exciting track. Raised just outside of New York, DJ Mizzy would be best described as a deep house producer, but he also has notable hip hop influence, including his use of the infamous Technic SL1200 turntable in his live shows around the world. Prost is a German influenced track with a melodic tone, as well as a subtle Caribbean vibes. Be sure to wait through the build up for the energetic drop that makes the song. Enjoy!

Producer duo Wierd Clvn has emerged with a debut single “Bad Hook.” This hardcore dubstep banger is highly energized with a frantic, futuristic sample at its core and some super heavy drops and synths and banging drums. As indicated by the cover art, this track might melt your face off, especially if you’re on a lot of drugs. With consistent themes throughout, there’s still enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Be ready for some pretty intense glitch influence as well some reggae sounds sprinkled in, keeping the track grounded in classic dubstep roots. We’re interested to see what’s next from Wierd Clvn, but for now enjoy “Bad Hook.”

Last week, UK based production/DJ duo Stööki Sound took over The Black Box, one of Denver’s premier venues to catch up and coming electronic music. With their immaculate blend of genres ranging from Trap to Hip Hop, to UK bass, the London duo threw down an energetic set that had the crowd turned all the way up, even moshing at times.
