TroyBoi has been in the game for a minute, and he’s remained consistent all the while. His latest Red Rocks performance was another testament to his greatness. He threw down a full selection of the hard hitting trap records that he’s known for, masterfully blended, of course, and also dropped a ton of new music, a lot of which had a bit of modern house influence, but still remained true to his classic sound. As an intermission of sorts, he handed over the spotlight to the very talented Arius, who did an incredible martial arts themed choreographed laser dance that was unlike anything we’ve ever seen. We saw a lot of shows at Red Rocks this summer, but if your a bass music head, this one might take the cake! Check out the photo recap courtesy of Sierra Jeter below, and don’t miss TroyBoi in the future if you have the chance to see the UK Trap legend.

Minneapolis native, Los Angeles based producer Riley Smithson aka Shrimpnose recently dropped a full length album, ‘As It Seems’ via Friends of Friends Music. With elements of post-dubstep, future bass, hyperpop, and folk rock blended with his low fidelity leanings, this is by far the most interesting project that landed on our desk this year. Accompanied by an impressive lineup of friends and collaborators: Anomalie, Bobby Raps, Ryan Hemsworth, Blockhead, Blu, Bad Snacks, SwuM, Somni, and Joe Nora, Shrimpnose displays unquestionable musicianship and vision. No doubt, the album is a true sonic experiment, but a successful one. Any risks taken pay off ten fold on this truly dynamic and original offering.

We don’t know much about Mighty Pluto, but we can say he’s not your average rapper. While he’s officially repping Boston, MA, the man might actually be from a different planet. With an addictive beat and Pluto’s understated flow this one has replay value for sure, no wonder it’s already racked up over 100k views. Extra points for the Sandlot reference! Enjoy.

We wouldn’t mind hearing a rapper jump on the remix! This is the first time we’ve heard this impressive rising producer, but we’ll def be checking for future drops. Enjoy!
