Ludacris has been largely out of the spotlight for the past few years aside from popping up for a few performances or guest verses, but he’s finally back to releasing music with the new single “Vices.” The track is a little different than the energetic anthem we hoped a new Luda single might be, with a darker beat and serious content, but it’s worth a listen. Bonus points for the artwork that might be doper than the song itself.
Comedian T.J. Miller has been making headlines with his controversial, philosophical, and hilarious takes. The former Silicon Valley star sits down with Snoop to smoke, promote his recent turn in the Emoji Movie and get philosophical. As they get baked, T.J. and Snoop cover all kinds of terrain, from their fear of death to their worst day jobs to their taste for Totino’s pizza rolls.
“I started recording after the first punch was thrown because you never know if these things are just an act. Well, I caught the second punch…and witness some dude high on something get up from getting knocked out momentarily only to be arrested shortly thereafter. It was a mere traffic stop, but the driver was clearly nervous — telling the police officer that she was worried that if she moved her hands, she would be shot. Then the cop, Greg Abbott, tried to assure her: “But you’re not black. Remember, we only shoot black people. Yeah, we only kill black people, right?”
In the words of the bootleg fireworks guy …DAT WAZ AWESOME! You have to give the man a lot of credit for keeping the camera on the action through the entire ordeal.
Innovative trio Dynohunter has been lighting up dance floors and festivals around the nation with their unique take on electronic dance music. Driven by primal rhythms and live instrumentation supercharged with addictive synths and samples, their performances take you on a journey that feels both ancient and futuristic. They are equally impressive in a studio setting, with meticulous attention to detail musically and sonically, as demonstrated by their new Tech House track “Paparazzi,” the lead single from their EP Rattle The Cage set for release Sept. 26th! Enjoy!
Dizzy Wright has been consistently dropping material lately. His latest is a new visual treatment for the track “Outrageous” featuring Big K.R.I.T., off Dizzy’s latest project TheGolden Age 2. The track is solid, (though K.R.I.T. kind of burns Dizzy on his own shit) and the video is timely and relevant in today’s climate where more and more images of police brutality and racism are surfacing every day.
