Back in Colorado for his second show this year, independent hip hop legend Aesop Rock once again enticed the crowd with his particular brand of highly verbose wordplay. Accompanied by Stone Throw’s Homeboy Sandman and close friend Rob Sonic (also the other half of Hail Mary Mallon), he ran through a selection of classics and most every track off his dope, self-produced new album, The Impossible Kid. Hard hitting beats, excellent cuts by DJ Zone, and of course the game’s wordiest lyricism got the sold out crowd moving — many of those in attendance reciting each and every word.
