Veteran producer Amp Live has been blurring lines between genres for close to two decades. From boom bap and reggae beginnings as one half of legendary Oakland hip hop duo Zion I, to filthy dubstep productions alongside the likes of Bassnectar and others, Amp Live proves that there are no rules in music. His latest offering, the Atmostphere EP on Gravitas Records has little bit of everything we’ve come to hope for from the versatile producer. There’s elements of poppy EDM influence, classic hip hop, reggae, trap, dubstep and little dash of something that’s unique to Amp himself.
