We love Dr. Dre, who doesn’t. He just dropped a rare solo track along with the release of his new documentary The Defiant Ones. Although the verses don’t really feel like the Dre we know, they aren’t bad. The beat is banging (as always) and the hook is heat. You can’t not listen to the new D.R.E. so check it out, and definitely peep The Defiant Ones, the new HBO documentary about Dr. Dre and Interscope Records founder Jimmy Iovine.

Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld : Daft Punk – “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”

This 15-piece German orchestra did a cover of Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and put a whole new spin on the dance classic. Hosted on the German late-night talk show Neo Magazin Royale, the Radio-Dance Orchestra of Ehrenfeld (Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld) performed their cover live, complete with horns, strings, bass, guitar, drums, and of course, the Rocktron Talk Box.

G has been touring relentlessly this year hitting dozens of cities on his Blessed by God Tour this summer. We caught G at his sold out show in Boulder, CO and he didn’t disappoint.

DeFunk – Next Level

Rising producer DeFunk just dropped this glitch-hop heater “Next Level” on HighChai records. Featuring a hip hop sample as the crux of the composition, there’s hard hitting drums and sharp crunchy synths that carry the track. We hope to hear this at a festie or two over the summer. Enjoy!
