The Game – “All the way Up” Breakfast Bars Freestyle

The Game keeps it G 100% of the time. He recently stopped by Power 106 to spit some ‘Breakfast Bars.’ He killed the freestyle over Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All the way Up” instrumental, and managed to keep the blunt lit at the same time. His heyday may have passed but The Game has still got it. Enjoy!

Joey Badass Freestyles on Funk Flex Show

Joey Badass is frequently referenced as one of the few young artists keeping the spirit of “real hip hop” alive, and when he shows out like this it’s no secret why. Check out the young Pre Era MC killing it off the top of the dome!

Vic Mensa ‘Save Money Summer’ L.A.Leakers Freestyle

Chicago MC Vic Mensa is everywhere lately. He recently dropped this hot freestyle for the LA Leakers at Power 106 in Los Angeles, and he’s definitely taking shots, possibly at Chance The Rapper and others, though it’s not entirely clear. Regardless there’s some dope bars in there, check it out!

2015 BET Cyphers

The BET cyphers is one of the best hip hop events every year, and the 2015 cyphers don’t disappoint. This year featured a perfect mix of hip hop veterans and rising artists. The legendary Black Thought of the Roots showed out in a major way, and Redman went notably hard too. Lesser known new comers Joyner Lucas, J-Doe, Daveed Diggs, Nicole Paris, and K-Shine killed it too. Almost all of the performances were solid with only a few questionable candidates like Raury, who was unimpressive. Check out the 2015 BET Cyphers here and expect these artists to do big things this year.

Treadmill Rap Battle: Action Bronson Vs. Killer Mike

Cartoon network’s Adult Swim has long been a proponent of dope, independent hip hop. Tonight the Eric Andre Show premiers on Adult Swim, and they released footage of the closing segment, which is a treadmill rap battle between to of hip hops most relevant names, Action Bronson and Killer Mike (of Run The Jewells.) From the looks of it, these boys don’t do a whole lot of cardio on a regular basis, so you can imagine how this turns out. Enjoy!

Logic Back Room Freestyle

Former XXL Freshmen Logic continues to turn heads everywhere he goes. He recently stopped through BET’s 106 & Park for the backroom freestyles. Logic is smooth and articulate in this impressive freestyle, and he reminded us why his new album Under Pressure (Oct. 21st) debuted at #1.

RAtheRuggedMan presents the best 17 year old MC alive

R.A. the Rugged Man presents one of the best young rappers in the game, 17 year old A-F-R-O who proves he can go off the head and spit vicious unrehearsed multis at the same time. A-F-R-O was recently involved in a near fatal car wreck and is performing in this video with 8 broken ribs and 2 broken bones in his spine and stitches in his head but that doesnt stop him from spitting an incredible off-the-head rhyme. His mom and dad join him and Hit song maker Eamon is in the session as well in which A-F-R-O mentions “Eamon (Aiming) the gun.

Kendrick Lamar Freestyles on Big Boy’s Neighborhood

Kendrick Lamar is officially back. Coming off of his brand new single “i” released this week, he took the time to stop by Power 106 in Los Angeles to appear on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. While there, Kendrick kicked a six plus minute “off the top of the dome” freestyle and reminded everyone why he deserves to mentioned among the greatest rappers of all time. Check it out right here!

Nerd Raps in the Hood

This guy is the illest white dude in hip hop since DJ Qualls in Hustle and Flow. Watch him approach people in the hood and spit his surprisingly decent freestyles about nerdy shit. Classic!

G-Unit Crew Freestyles on the Funk Flex Show

In recent weeks 50 Cent and the G-Unit crew have managed to make their way back into the spotlight via a few new singles, not to mention 50’s internet beef with Floyd Mayweather. The crew stopped by Hot 97 in NYC to freestyle on the Funk Flex show. Kidd Kidd, the newest addition to the crew literally steals the show when he cuts off Young Buck with some crazy bars. Would like to hear more from 50 who barely chimes in. Still, this cypher is dope, and left us excited for the new G-Unit project. Enjoy!

Big Sean Freestyles on Funk Flex

Sean’s lyricism provides a tidy reminder that he’s rapping better than ever right now, dropping gems like “lately I’ve been reading books on some Deepak shit/Still rocking more Adidas, less Reebok bitch” off the dome. Check it out.
