Kendrick Lamar – ELEMENT. (Official Video)

Kendrick’s DAMN. album has been the definitive (hip hop) project of 2017, and the wave isn’t over. Kenny just dropped off this powerful and visually stunning video for one of our favorite tracks off the album, “ELEMENT.” The good kid show’s his mad city side in this tastefully violent display of what might happen if you fuck with Kendrick right now. People will continue to have the GOAT discussions, but in the current moment, Kung Fu Kenny is the undisputed heavyweight champ in the game. This one is a must watch!

Nipsey Hussle – All Get Right (Official Video)

Nipsey Hussle is back with a new video from an old song, but there’s a good reason. The video’s editing director got locked up before he could finish the project. He’s out now and so is the video. This is one of Nipsey’s classics and we’re stoked the video finally dropped in time for summer. Enjoy!

2 Chainz kills freestyle over Kendrick’s DNA beat

2 Chainz is a polarizing artist. With simple, catchy music and a mainstream image and content, he’s often overlooked as a skilled MC. He recently flexed on the LA Leakers show over Kendrick’s DNA instrumental and dropped some crazy bars. Check it out!

Demrick – Superficial (Prod by DJ Hoppa)

As another installment of the Still Movin Mondays weekly release, Demrick dropped off this laid back, self proclaimed “summer shit,” the DJ Hoppa produced “Superficial.” The bouncy track has a great feel-good vibe, and a unique message, as Demrick explores the less greedy side of ambition with more confidence in his voice than ever. This one’s definitely going on the summer playlist!

Mija – Time Stops | Adult Swim Singles

Rising star Mija just dropped a brand new track “Time Stops,” courtesy of Adult Swim Singles, as part of their ambitious 52 songs in 52 weeks. She originally debuted the track live a few months back, and people have been wondering what it was ever since! Energetic upbeat vibes and stimulating synths drive this magical journey of a song people are describing as happy hardcore. You might be hearing this at a festival or two this summer. Enjoy, and look out for the next installment of Adult Swim Singles!

Cookin Soul – Mask Off vs Redbone (SP404 Remix)

Spanish producer Cookin Soul just dropped off this unexpected blend of two of this year’s biggest hit’s, Future’s “Mask Off,” and Childish Gambino’s “Redbone.” Surprisingly, it works, with a flipped version of Redbone as a soulful backdrop for Future’s apathetic vocals. The contrast is dope, and Soul managed to keep the integrity of both songs. Bonus points for making this shit on the SP-404 for the analog heads.

Mike WiLL Made-It – Perfect Pint ft. Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane, Rae Sremmurd (Video)

Mike WiLL Made It is in his prime right now. Coming off huge hype from Kendrick’s “Humble,” not to mention own recent album drop, he returns with a masterful visual treatment for “Perfect Pint.” Featuring a heavy line up of Kendrick Lamar, Gucci, and Rae Sremmurd, this hallucinogenic video is gives us a look at what Fear and Loathing might have been if lean and trap music existed in the 70’s. It doesn’t look like they spared any expense on this trippy, fun, and very well done video, it’s a must watch!

Dave East – Free Smoke #EASTMIX (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Mass Appeal’s Dave East released a new video for his freestyle over Drakes’s “Free Smoke.” It’s rare that anyone gets on one of Drake’s beats without embarrassing themself, but Dave really does it justice, and then some. We’ve seen a few people saying he bodied Drizzy, we’re not sure about that, but it’s definitely dope. Watch it and decide for yourself, and check for his Paranoia project to be coming soon.

Fredfades – Cold Feat. MoRuf, MoShadee & Ivan Ave

Norwegian DJ/Producer and record aficionado Fredfades has been doing his thing for a minute, but we just caught wind, and we’re glad we did. Photos: 420 Weekend In Review

We’ve heard a million different rumors, but we’re pretty sure no one actually knows the origins of 420. Regardless, it’s a great time of day to smoke, and it’s turned into one hell of a party every year on April 20th around the country. We checked out some of the festivities in weed hubs around the US, here’s some of our favorite photos from the weekend.

Photos: Lupe Fiasco | Roseland Theater | Portland

They have great herb, microbrews, and an impressive concert scene that’s really been picking up on the hip hop side of things. We got the chance to check out the city’s largest 420 party, the first annual Cloud City music and cannabis exibit featuring headliner Lupe Fiasco, hosted at the Roseland Theater in downtown Portland. Lil Dicky – Pillow Talking feat. Brain (Official Music Video)

At this point, whether or not you like Lil Dicky, or even take him seriously, you have to acknowledge the dude is insanely creative and talented (and kind of a low key genius in our humble opinion.) The fact that Dicky dropped 750 racks on this video alone makes it worth a watch, plus it features some solid acting and plenty of hilarity. We’ve never seen anything quite like it, enjoy!
