DJ Low Key started things off (and closed out the night) with golden era mixes that set the vibe perfectly for the SirPlus to take over with a heavy beat set. West Coast great, Fashawn, elevated the energy with top tier lyricism and incredible crowd control. The intimate venue added to the electric atmosphere as Blu and Ex kicked off their set with tracks from their classic album Below the Heavens, which sounded better than ever on The Black Box’s unparalleled system. TroyBoy brings legendary performance to Red Rocks

TroyBoi has been in the game for a minute, and he’s remained consistent all the while. His latest Red Rocks performance was another testament to his greatness. He threw down a full selection of the hard hitting trap records that he’s known for, masterfully blended, of course, and also dropped a ton of new music, a lot of which had a bit of modern house influence, but still remained true to his classic sound. As an intermission of sorts, he handed over the spotlight to the very talented Arius, who did an incredible martial arts themed choreographed laser dance that was unlike anything we’ve ever seen. We saw a lot of shows at Red Rocks this summer, but if your a bass music head, this one might take the cake! Check out the photo recap courtesy of Sierra Jeter below, and don’t miss TroyBoi in the future if you have the chance to see the UK Trap legend.

Photos: Killer Mike at The Ogden Theater in Denver

Killer Mike is one of the most important artists in hip hop. He’s educated, dangerous, and musically elite, authentically bridging the gap between idealism and practicality in his effective activism and powerful lyricism. The last few times we’ve seen him, he’s been serving as one half of Run The Jewels, which is always dope, but fresh off last year’s Michael (contender for AOTY) and subsequent grammy sweep, it’s only right that he’s on a solo US Tour with DJ Trackstar.
