SiR Brings Heartfelt Performance to Summit Denver
TDE’s SiR is one of the hottest R&B artists out right now, and his recent album Heavy was the subject of critical acclaim, and fan adoration. He’s been on the road in support of the album for the last several months, but after news broke that his mother had passed away, we weren’t sure the Denver show scheduled just a few days later would happen. Shortly after, SiR himself tweeted “We gon finish this tour strong,” alleviating concerns while displaying his passion for his music and his dedication to his fans.
Despite the heaviness in the room, the Inglewood singer channelled all of his strength, and delivered a powerful set featuring records from Chasing Summer, November and Heavy. Complete with a performance of “Rappers Weed,” at the request of fans, the set also included a heartfelt memorial dedicated to his late mother. Somehow he managed to hold it together in front of the sea of emoting fans, but the gravity of the situation was felt by everyone in attendance. SiR is a true showman, no doubt, and this performance was a testament to his greatness. Photographer Anthony Maes captured the performance, check out the gallery below.
