GoFast jetpack pilot cirlces Denver

A daredevil launched himself from the roof of a Denver hotel wearing a jetpack Thursday morning. Nick Macomber took off with a puff of smoke and circled the spire atop Denver’s Four Season Hotel for just under 20 seconds before landing where he started. The flight was a publicity stunt for GoFast.

World’s First Wingsuit BASE Jumping Dog

Dean Potter, famous rock climber, high-liner and human flyer, wingsuit BASE jumps with his dog, Whisper from the Eiger, Switzerland. Whisper is a Queensland Heeler who is afraid of vacuums but not, apparently, of heights. She and Potter live a simple life in a teepee in Yosemite National Park. No word on if they will upgrade to posher digs now that this Whisper is achieving celebrity status.

Uruguay will soon be selling weed to the public at rock-bottom prices ($1 USD per gram). But Mujica (Uruguay’s President), a former left-wing guerrilla turned Latin political icon, doesn’t want his country seen as South America’s capital of cannabis. Once approved, you’ll go to a pharmacy, or public hospital, and place your finger on a scanner that will register whether you qualify and how much marijuana you’ve already gotten. (The limit is 40 grams a month).
