“Conquer your Dreams and Dream to Conquer”, is the motto that Byron “Black Collar Biz” Marshall has grew up to a very diverse array of music from Gospel, Soul, Funk and Blues to Hip Hop and R&B. His new project, High Grade Artistry, Biz says “It was my way of showing that artistry is still important in today’s scene, by selecting beats with different moods, and making sure each song had a true message.” Be sure to check it out here first. @blackcollarbiz
Electronic due Am Grim & Voidguts are back with their first release since The Grey Dagger EP titled “Unhealthy.” The track stays true to their signature sound, with dark heavy synths and sinister melodies, but its interesting nonetheless. With yet another impressive production, we can’t wait to hear what these guys drop next!
If you haven’t heard about NY rapper Skizzy Mars, you will. Check out his super smooth feel good single “Be Lazy,” a perfect track to kick back and smoke to. Look out for his album The Red Balloon Project set for release on February 3rd.
Rising producer Silver Fox presents “Taste It”, the title track of his new EP. This fun glitch-hop banger delivers a deliciously funky bassline laced perfectly with tight drums and futuristic synths and textures. Some perfectly placed samples keep it interesting throughout and the unpredictability of the breakdowns and drops are the icing on the cake. Enjoy “Taste It” and look out for more from Silver Fox!

Oxford MS based singer Voidguts linked up with AM Grim to create the Grey Dagger EP, a short, 4 track electronic project that spans many genres and styles. AM Grim’s dark instrumentals provide a perfect backdrop for Voidguts’ uninque, slightly eerie vocals to create a soundscape that reminds us of an electronic version of Kanye’s My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy minus the rappers. We’re looking forward to hearing more from these two. Enjoy!
Fashawn teamed up with Alchemist on this dope collaboration project that sounds exactly how you hoped it would: Grimey ALC beats laced with Fashawn’s relaxed but pungent rhymes, complete with Evidence (of Dilated Peoples) as the project’s only feature. This is the first we’ve seen from Fashawn since he recently signed to Nas’s record label, Mass Appeal, and we expect him to have a strong 2015. Download the mixtape free below!

Villz has been making a name for himself as an alt-R&B vocalist to watch. His songs are rooted in lost love, the moody, melodic music of Villz is driven by pensive confessions, sexual innuendos, and notions of escapism. While relying on heartbreak as his muse, the Haitian, Florida-bred singer/songwriter weaves soul, synth, and electric guitar with addictive downbeats and an unadulterated delivery. On the heels of his recent singles “4:20 AM” and “Appreciation”, Villz releases his awaited 8 track debut album in full. Producers include Mike Ewing, Sage Tune, William Wolf, Ducko McFli and Syksense. Stream below or purchase from iTunes.
Rising DJ/Producer Treyy G teamed up with DRTY DNCN and EDM.com to bring us yet another party anthem. This track has one of Treyy’s signature catchy rap style hooks on top of a bounce/trap beat that has some pretty sweet drops. Keep your ears up for this banger in nightclubs around the world.
The 3hree Project is a compilation of some of Denver Colorado’s most promising artists, curated by a team of respected music industry veterans. The first single, “All or Nothing” features singer Leona Harper and rapper FL (of the Foodchain.) The track’s foundation is a slightly ominous, but somehow club friendly beat that lends itself perfectly to Harper’s charming vocals and FL’s sharp verses. Look out for more heat from The 3hree project this winter.
Rising DJ/Producer Vinnie Maniscalco is back at with a mash up of Disclosure/Sam Smith’s “Latch” and RL Grime’s “Tell Me.” Individually these were two of the hottest songs of 2014, and they blend together gloriously creating something almost entirely new. For your listening pleasure, enjoy!
G-Eazy is becoming one of our favorites from the generation of “College Rappers” that includes Chris Webby, Mac Miller, Asher Roth and others. Eazy is back with his new single “Achievement.” Produced by Christoff Anderson. The beat is pretty much an updated rip off of East Flatbush Project feat. Des – “Tried by 12,” (also re-popularized in the Shady 2.0 Cypher a few years back) but its dope enough, and the real highlight is Eazy’s bars. Throughout the track he effortlessly delivers some of the stronger punch lines we’ve heard in a minute. If you don’t already know about G-Eazy, you will soon!
Trap heavyweight RL Grime dropped this new heater off his debut album Void featuring G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean, who is also on top of his game right now. The track is dope. The chorus is a little abrasive but catchy none the less, and the verses go hard. RL did his part too providing a grimey trap beat with heavy street appeal. These EDM x hip hop collabs are becoming more and more common, but this might be our favorite since A$AP Rocky and Skrillex dropped “Wild for the Night.”
