Brooklyn MC Joey Bada$$ linked with the West Coast’s Schoolboy Q to create “Rockabye Baby,” a pure hip hop banger. With a hard beat courtesy of Dial-1-900 & Chuck Strangers, both artists do what they do best, and the result is flawless. This is a must hear, and we’re looking forward to Joey’s upcoming album AABA.

Roxy Jr. is the latest brainchild of Chicago musician Mark Wendell. The debut single [MINK//KISS] features 90’s rock vibes with dreamy vocals, relatable lyrics and wonderfully minimalist instrumentation, all of which is performed solely by Wendell himself. This one’s a bit out of our wheelhouse, but we thought it was worth the post. Enjoy!
Veteran producer Amp Live has been blurring lines between genres for close to two decades. From boom bap and reggae beginnings as one half of legendary Oakland hip hop duo Zion I, to filthy dubstep productions alongside the likes of Bassnectar and others, Amp Live proves that there are no rules in music. His latest offering, the Atmostphere EP on Gravitas Records has little bit of everything we’ve come to hope for from the versatile producer. There’s elements of poppy EDM influence, classic hip hop, reggae, trap, dubstep and little dash of something that’s unique to Amp himself. With some awesome features from Eligh, Lana Shea, and Cristina Soto to round it out, this EP is a great listen for any music fan.

He once again hit the mark with the super dark, bass heavy “Enough,” which features a few scorching verses and an understated hook from King Push himself. This shit goes.
Raekwon continues to stay relevant after decades in the game. He tapped the much younger G-Eazy for “Purple Brick Road,” a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League produced banger that successfully blends Chef’s boom-bap roots with the modern radio appeal you’d expect from Eazy and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Enjoy!
