In anticipation of his upcoming project Organized Crime, Chicago independent mainstay Daz Woods returns with the brash single “Statement,” featuring Vic Spencer and Chris Crack. Daz sets off the track with confident flow over a cinematic true school beat courtesy of Da Funky Man. Vic and Chris tag team the remainder of the track with taunting verses and equally strong wordplay. The track lives up to its name, as the three MC’s flawlessly work together to make a “statement” for their city. Check out the single, and look out for Organized Crime coming soon.
Prior to his appearance on Run The Jewls RTJ2 album Zack de la Rocha has been ghost for a minute. He’s now resurfaced again with a banger not surprisingly produced by El-P, who’s been on fire for a few years now, and they couldn’t sound better together. There’s rumors of a full length collab album between the two, and we hope they are true. For now enjoy ‘digging for windows!’
