Dominque Christina releases debut album “Day Pass to the Night Realm”
The art of the album is alive and well in Dominique Christina’s DEBUT musical solo album, Day Pass To the Night Realm.
The most exciting element of this powerful release is that it’s her first full length musical project. After listening, we hope it’s not her last. This 11-track album takes a timeless tour through NeoSoul, Funk, and Americana, just to name a few of the places she goes.
The production is balanced and spacious, leaving room for lyrics pulling from wells vast and ancient. The depth of lyric comes as no surprise, as Dominque is an internationally renowned writer, performer, and educator.
Even for a listener who doesn’t center lyrics, this album is a seamless journey through vibrant and luscious soundscapes, topped off by Christina’s flawless vocals.
Day Pass to The Night Realm is best explained without mentioning other artists or even genres. It is thoughtful, impeccable, and a formidable arrival into music albums for this accomplished poet. – Nico Tower
