It wouldn’t be a proper 420 weekend in Denver without a trip the world’s greatest venue, Red Rocks Amphitheater, especially when the lineup is stacked with weed icons including headliner Wiz Khalifa, as well as Action Bronson and Berner. NY emcees Joey Badass and Marlon Craft rounded out the lineup with serious lyricism. Needless to say, the weed was thick in the air. Despite security’s best efforts, there was thousands of joints and blunts in rotation at any given time. People were generously handing out smoke like candy in true Colorado fashion, and the vibe was top tier at this year’s 420 On The Rocks.
With the crowd already amped from the always impressive Joey Badass, Wiz took things to new heights as he shut down the night with a short but epic set, giving the crowd what they wanted as he ran through his extensive catalog of hits including Roll Up, So High, Black and Yellow, and of course, Young Wild Free, all the while puffing his signature joints and a few fatty’s that made their way up from the crowd. No doubt this was another epic 420 on the rocks, if you’re in Denver next year for 420 don’t miss it, and if you missed it this year, check out the photo recap courtesy of Denver photojournalist Armando Geneyro.
