Reggae legend J Boog rocks Sold Out Cervantes in Denver

If you’ve ever seen J Boog in person you know the man literally radiates good vibes. Born in southern Cali, raised in Hawaii, Boog carries a warmth with him that translates into his music, and especially his live performances. The critically acclaimed artist is on an extensive tour right now, heading into festival season, and we were lucky enough to catch his sold out show at the incomparable Cervantes ballroom.

Even on the cold winter night in Denver, it was big island energy through and through. Boog rocked a complete set with a full band of talented musicians, most notably an incredible saxiphone player who made his presence known. The packed house was filled with friendly faces, and plenty of delicious Colorado weed smoke in the air, especially during his famed cover of the reggae classic “Ganja Farmer.” Running though the majority of his most popular music, J Boog saved his famous hit “Lets Do it Again,” for the end of his encore, closing out an incredible night of reggae music and amazing energy at one of the city’s best venues.
