hERON drops Self Titled Debut Album

hERON is the long-distance, Seattle to San Antonio collaboration between Progeny of Chisme/Ghost Palace (MPC, guitar, records) and Rob Castro of Grayskul/Chisme/Ghost Palace (bass). Instrumental trip-hop infused with a gloomy dreamlike melancholy, hERON’s cinematic, sad bangers draw as much from psych rock, 70’s pop and Twin Peaks as they do from Seattle’s chief exports of hiphop and grunge. hERON’s self-titled 12-song debut release is available on tape, wax, and digital.

Displaying detailed textures, loose drums, and emotional melodies as well as primarily organic samples and instrumentation this project creates a timeless vibe rarely achieved in music today. With several standout tracks including “Flipout,” “Melt away,” “Vegabond,” and of course the title track “hERON” this album is truly a hidden gem. Enjoy it here first!
