OptycNerd is an electronic hip-hop / pop duo based in Denver, CO. Their latest release “#1” is a shout out to old school hip-hop, but combines catchy, synth and sample-based beats with conscious and witty lyricism to create a truly unique sound.
Over the past few years, OptycNerd has been crafting their sound into what critics have called “some of the hottest new music since Gregorian chant.”They channel some of their favorite artists including Snakehips, Disclosure, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak, Childish Gambino, and many more. When people first hear their music, they often say things like, “Oh yeah, this is OK” or “I don’t really listen to music. In the future, OptycNerd plans to keep working at their craft and eventually become elite members of the Illuminati.
