Preview: Zeke Beats at The Black Box in Denver

Australian bass music producer Zeke Beats is truly in a lane of his own, drawing from hip hop, trap, dubstep, and just about any other genre you can imagine. His dynamic music is both accessible and unpredictable with hard hitting drums and crisp synths at the forefront of his productions. With an impressive resume of DMC and other competition wins under his belt Zeke incorporates a mastery of true turntablism into an arena where the once fundamental Technics 1200 has become foriegn technology to most DJ’s. While his skill set may be rooted in past tradition, his music and sound is still far ahead of its time.

DJ Mizzy – Prost (Single)

International DJ and producer DJ Mizzy presents “Prost,” a brand new single that blends multiple genres and influences into one exciting track. Raised just outside of New York, DJ Mizzy would be best described as a deep house producer, but he also has notable hip hop influence, including his use of the infamous Technic SL1200 turntable in his live shows around the world. Prost is a German influenced track with a melodic tone, as well as a subtle Caribbean vibes. Be sure to wait through the build up for the energetic drop that makes the song. Enjoy!

Diplo is one of the most interesting men on the planet. The highly successful artist has been at the forefront of music for years, and now he’s delivered a mini documentary “Florida to California” looking back at personal story. He traces back to his roots with his first project Florida up until his most recent project California and how he got here.

BRTYIS – Voodoo

Hailing from Bratislava and currently residing in Prague, BRTYIS is a self-proclaimed music tech geek and a DJ. His latest track ´Voodoo´ is a house banger that is definitely worth a listen. Make sure to follow BRTYIS on Soundcloud, he has already amassed over 6.7K followers. His on the rise to be the next EDM Soundcloud breakout artist.

Tim Bell – In My Head

Rising producer Tim Bell presents his newest single “In My Head,” a release that can only be described as ‘a perfect example of fine future house’. Tim’s latest endeavor, out on Glamorama Records, is an effervescent and dynamic track lead by a throbbing bass line that will have everybody dancing while grinning ear to ear. The track is ever changing, with addictive rhythms at its core, and powerful piano chords backing soulful vocal samples that build up to liberating drops, this is sure to be an anthem in clubs, cars, and dance parties all summer! Wierd Clvn – Bad Hook

Producer duo Wierd Clvn has emerged with a debut single “Bad Hook.” This hardcore dubstep banger is highly energized with a frantic, futuristic sample at its core and some super heavy drops and synths and banging drums. As indicated by the cover art, this track might melt your face off, especially if you’re on a lot of drugs. With consistent themes throughout, there’s still enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Be ready for some pretty intense glitch influence as well some reggae sounds sprinkled in, keeping the track grounded in classic dubstep roots. We’re interested to see what’s next from Wierd Clvn, but for now enjoy “Bad Hook.”

Diplo – Color Blind (feat. Lil Xan)

Lil Xan is spreading his name and sound like wildfire, and his buzz is only growing larger by day. After teaming up with Diplo, the two release the music video for their “Color Blind”, which features Xan facing the consequences of a night of partying hard.

THNDRKTZ! – Da Snap (Single)

THNDRKTZ! is an Electronic Dance Music duo from Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Their sound’s blend together their Rock & Hip Hop roots with modern EDM, Trap, & House Music. With their 3rd single “Da Snap”, they continue to explore the world of dance music. The track starts off with an infectious laugh from Gifted 6, and immediately you know you’re in for treat. Thumping 808s and buzzsaw synths dominate the beat, sounding like the love child of Knife Party and Migos.

Last week, UK based production/DJ duo Stööki Sound took over The Black Box, one of Denver’s premier venues to catch up and coming electronic music. With their immaculate blend of genres ranging from Trap to Hip Hop, to UK bass, the London duo threw down an energetic set that had the crowd turned all the way up, even moshing at times. The Liverpool based singer-songwriter Dominique De Beau recently announced the release of her newest track ‘Another I’ , a uptempo pop track with elements of RnB and dance. She achieved success with her debut EP ‘Unforgettable’, being featured on mix-tapes alongside Jason Derulo, DJ Khaled and Kid Ink, including a mixtape hosted by Iggy Azalea.
